The year 2020 was a surprise for many and, obviously, not a nice one. Many of our colleagues are trapped back in their home countries or in tourist places where the lockdown caught them by surprise, but we sincerely hope everyone in our little community is healthy and that you and your families are united. Those things are most important in life. Work & prosperity will follow for sure; be persistent, dear friends.
Here at Studio Dare | 大胆, the well-being & health of our community was and is our priority; so we waited quite a bit to resume the Photo Meet-Ups. It was only in the last month or so that we felt safe to gather so many people at Studio Dare | 大胆.

10th Photographers' Meet-Up
It's a jubilee Meet-Up, and we at Studio Dare | 大胆 are looking forward to seeing you all again for the tenth time!
Just as a reminder for all those who already know what it is all about, or a small introduction to those who will be joining us for the first time: Studio Dare | 大胆 Photographers' Meet-Up is a gathering that photographers do for photographers and people from the industry! Created to inspire the whole community by putting photographers and creatives from the industry under the spotlight, so they can tell amazing stories and share the drives that push them further in this ever-changing world of photography.
For Meet-Up #10, we are bringing one of the best car photographers working in China. Many of you already know our friend Martin, as he has been in China for years. Originally from Slovakia, he grew up in Germany as a photographer, and now he spends his life between Shanghai & Berlin. Specialising in car photography, he'll take us through this field, explain some industry quirks, share a few tips, and reveal a few closely kept secrets.

As Martin explained to us, the talk will be: "A quick overview of how the Game of commercial Automotive Photography is played. Find out who the Players are, what techniques are used and what strategies are successful.
Quite a few behind-the-scenes stories included!"

Martin is a commercial photographer specialising in car photography, based in Berlin & Shanghai and through his nomadic lifestyle, curiosity and positive attitude, he has a rich repertoire of humorous stories and anecdotes about the industry. Always fascinated by photography, he developed his first print at 16, started assisting photographers at 24, and became a professional photographer in 2006. The rest will be told in person.
So come and join us at the 10th Photographers Meet-Up from 18:00h on Tuesday, 4th of August (Note: the talk itself starts at 19:30h). It's another chance to meet your colleagues, take part in the discussions, and share your opinions and comments on the presentation in the cool and relaxed atmosphere of Studio Dare | 大胆.
